Forget about buying roses. Bring your loved ones this gorgeous Rose Water & Blood Orange Cake for Valentine's Day.
This mouth-watering vegan recipe is from Herbaland Ambassador Connie Leung aka @conniekyleung on Instagram. She was inspired by the citrus flavor of our Plant-Based Omega 3 gummies!
I N G R E D I E N T S:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cane sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup almond mylk
- 1 Tbsp rose water
- 1 blood orange
D I R E C T I O N S:
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- In a bowl, combine the all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- In a separate bowl, combine the cane sugar, orange juice, almond mylk and rose water
- Add in the dry mixture, and mix
- Pour into a 6" cake pan and place the sliced blood orange on top
- Bake for 45 minutes
P R O T I P:
Reheat leftover slices of cake for 15 minutes @350F - It gives it a crunchy exterior but the inside is still soft and fluffy!
