It’s summertime and travel season is finally upon us! With the warm weather and the kids out of school, we can see why so many choose to travel during the summer! Whether you’re traveling cross-country on a fun roadtrip, or flying across the world to a dream vacation, you’re always going to need to make sure you’ve packed your bags! This can be something a lot of people dread, fearing that they might have forgotten something essential! It always feels like there’s always at least one thing you forget to bring. This is why we’ve made a list of your top 5 essential travel items, so you have everything you’ll need on your trip.
1. Passport & Travel Documents
One of the most important, if not the most important thing to bring, especially if you’re flying internationally or crossing borders! Without a passport or other travel documents, you may not be able to enter the place you are travelling to. Make sure to do a double check of these key items before heading out the door.
2. Clothing
While this one may seem obvious, you’d be surprised how unprepared some people are when travelling. Depending where you’re going, you may need to bring a variety of clothes for different occasions. If you’re going somewhere tropical, make sure to bring swimwear, short sleeve tees and shorts. You may be travelling somewhere like Vancouver, BC, where the weather can be unpredictable at times, so bringing both clothes for warmer and cooler weather would be smart. There's also smaller items like socks and underwear that may be easily forgotten, but are so essential! Nothing sucks more than having to wear the same socks again after a day out.
Reusable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is so important, especially during the hot summer. Having a reusable water bottle by your side is a great way to make sure you’re giving your body the water needs. It’s also more sustainable than purchasing a single-use water bottle every time you run out of water. At airports there are lots of water fountains designed to refill full water bottles, making it even easier to hydrate. Not to mention the cost savings you’ll get from just reusing the same water bottle. While water is usually not expensive, it can be at airports, and can really add up on your overall travel expenses.
4. Toiletries
Making sure you’re able to take care of your teeth, hair, and skin during your trip is an absolute must! We’d recommend getting a travel-sized toiletry bag to hold all your essential toiletries, to make packing them easy and compact. If you’re flying, make sure to get travel sized versions of your liquids, as are limits on how big your liquids can be while flying. Please check with your airline on the exact allowable size limit for your liquids. A few key items you should be bringing are your toothpaste & toothbrush, shampoo & conditioner, moisturizer, deodorant, lip balm and sunscreen. You can always add to that list, but we would say that these are the most essential items when travelling.
5. Supplements
Being able to travel can be so much fun, but you may face common issues such as jet lag, constipation or not getting your usual nutrition, which may bring down the fun. Having the right supplements can be such a game changer while traveling. This is why Herbaland has created the two new travel bundles, the Kids Travel Bundle and Travel Wellness Pack.

A great travel essential for kids, featuring two of our best-selling kid’s vitamin gummies, the Kid’s Multivitamin and Kid’s Immune Bears. It can be difficult to always get the right food when travelling, especially with picky eaters. The Kid’s Multivitamin is a great supplement to take on the go, helping your little ones get their daily nutrients wherever they go. The Kid’s Immune Bears are there to protect your kid’s immunity when they’re out and about. Travelling can make both kids and adults more prone to getting sick, so getting that extra immunity boost can be really helpful, letting you both enjoy your vacation to the max!
The Herbaland Travel Pack features 2 of our best sellers, our Vegan D3 & B12, as well as our Sweet Dream gummies. It also features a brand new product, the Herbaland Senna Leaf Laxative gummies. This essential trio was made to help with common travel issues. The Vegan D3 & B12 is a great daily essential that helps with energy metabolism, mood regulation and immunity, helping you feel your best while on vacation. Sweet Dreams is included to help with the effects of jetlag or other sleeping issues you may face while travelling, such as an uncomfortable bed or seat. Constipation can be a real annoying way to ruin your vacation, but with the brand new Herbaland Senna Leaf Laxative gummies, you can say goodbye to that uncomfortable backed up feeling! Senna Leaf is a natural laxative that helps promote bowel movements and provides relief from constipation. To learn more about this new product, you can check out the travel pack here!

At the end of the day, travelling should be fun, not stressful. With the right essentials packed, you can focus on making memories instead of worrying about what you forgot. Whether it’s staying hydrated, keeping your energy up, or helping your kids feel their best, a little preparation goes a long way. Wherever this summer takes you, we hope it’s filled with good vibes, smooth travels, and great adventures.
