You may be wondering, what does this all mean? or what even is B Corp™? To answer your questions let's take a look at what it means to be a B Corp™.
What does B Corp™ mean?
The B Corp™ certification is a designation created by B Lab, who measure a business's activity using high standards in verified performance, accountability and transparency in areas such as environmental impact, employee benefit, supply chain management, societal impact, and governance. B Corps™ are businesses that put the planet and people before the profit.
What does this mean to Herbaland?
With sustainability, community, and inclusivity as our core values, it only makes sense that we be credited with the B Corp™ certification. We are a business that at its core, wants to be a force for good and improve the wellbeing of our planet its wonderful people. We became a B Corp™ connect our values as a company to the commitment that comes with being a B Corp™.
As a women-owned company with a diverse workplace from over 20 different countries, we take pride in our culture of inclusivity. Through community involvement, Herbaland donated over $515,000 in 2021 alone to various local grassroots organizations and charities who advocate for marginalized groups, mental health, people in need and more. To make our business sustainable and restorative, we’ve made our products climate smart by using compostable packaging and plant-based/vegan ingredients! This allows our products to be zero waste and reduce our overall carbon footprint. To go one step further, we also plant one tree for every pouch of gummies we sell, with a goal of planting 2.5 million trees by 2025!
