UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)

The SDGs are 17 goals set out by the United Nations (UN) that address global issues surrounding climate change, the environment, social challenges, and other inequalities. The end hope for these interconnected goals is to achieve a future that is more sustainable and better for all. We know that these global issues cannot be solved by just one organization, but if we band together as a global community, we can make our world a better place for all. This is why we’ve selected the following 5 of the SDGs to focus on in all of our actions:

How we’re accomplishing this goal:
- Creating products that are meant to im
- Making sure our products are vegan, non-GMO, gluten free and contain low to no sugar
- Providing a healthy gummy snack alternative to high sugar candies

Risks of hindering the achievement of this SDG:
- Zero to low risk as the nature of our business is to make products that are both good for people and the planet. Our gummies are designed to be a healthy way to supplement your diet while supporting overall health improvement

Ways to Improve:
- Create new products that help people with different aspects of their health
- Improve our gummy formulas to make our products even more optimal for good health

KPIs:
- Quality of our products
- Product sales
- How much we innovate and improve products

How we’re accomplishing this goal:
- Supporting our local and global communities through partnerships with charities, NGOs, and other grass root organizations. Our partnerships come in the form of volunteer work, monetary donation, in-kind donations, and social advocacy.
- Awarding the annual Herbaland Community Scholarship to BC students to aid them with their future studies.

Risks of hindering the achievement of this SDG:
- Decreasing the amount of support provided to our community partners due to financial restraints

Ways to Improve:
- Increasing the amount of donations, volunteering and advocacy we create for our community partners
- Working towards the creation of a Herbaland charity that has its own capacity to work directly with our community members
- Increasing the total Herbaland Community Scholarship amount

KPIs:
- Number of charities/NGOs Donated To

How we’re accomplishing this goal:
