Herbaland is dedicated to supporting communities both locally and globally by providing earth-friendly nutrition and monetary support to those in vulnerable situations. Each year, we passionately volunteer, give, and partner with diverse communities, striving to be a business that gives back, while fostering strong bonds and connections around the world.
Charity Fundraiser Program
One of the ways Herbaland gives back is through our Charity Fundraiser Program, supporting organizations across Canada with fundraising gift boxes and auction donations. Over the years, we have been proud to work alongside BC Women's Health Foundation, BC Children's Hospital, Down Syndrome BC, Ronald McDonald House Charities BC & Yukon, the Canucks Autism Network, and many more. To date, Herbaland has donated over $1,000,000 worth of product and monetary contributions to communities across Canada, and our commitment only grows from here.
Fill the Van with Cheer
In 2025, Herbaland launched a new community initiative in partnership with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Richmond Food Bank. The Fill the Van with Cheer event invited local businesses to donate non-perishable food items during the holiday season. Together, we collected over 440 kilograms of food for Richmond families in need.
Breakthrough T1D
In 2025, Herbaland partnered with Breakthrough T1D, an organization advancing research, advocacy, and support for people living with type 1 diabetes. We donated over $9,000 worth of low-sugar gummy products to fuel participants at their T1D Ride events across Canada. Our low-sugar formulas were a natural fit for a community that manages blood sugar as part of daily life, and we are proud to be a snack brand that can genuinely serve their needs.
Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives
Herbaland is proud to support Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives, a community foundation dedicated to strengthening the city we call home. In 2025, we contributed $2,500 in cash alongside over $250 worth of product donations to support their mission of connecting local donors with local needs. As a Richmond-based company, investing in the people and programs that make this community thrive is something we take to heart.
Mamas for Mamas
One of our longest and most impactful partnerships, Mamas for Mamas is a Canadian charity that supports mothers in vulnerable situations, with essentials such as clothes, nutrition, and more. Since 2021, we have stocked the shelves at the Mamas for Mamas Karma Market where moms can pick up what they need, free of charge. In the last 5 years, Herbaland has donated over $80,000 to support local BC mothers.
YWCA Vancouver
YWCA works nationally to advance the well-being of women and families through advocacy, housing, and integrated support services. Herbaland began this partnership in 2022 through product donations to YWCA Crabtree Corner, a facility in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside that serves marginalized women, children, and families. Since then, we have expanded our support to YWCA Toronto. In total, Herbaland has donated over $67,000 worth of product and monetary donations to fund YWCA social initiatives across Canada.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies tackles the weekend hunger gap, delivering meals to kids when school nutrition programs are unavailable and serving roughly 4,000 meals every week across the Lower Mainland. Herbaland has shown up for Backpack Buddies on multiple occasions, from rolling up our sleeves to pack bags alongside their team, to donating over $14,000 worth of healthy, low-sugar gummies for the kids they serve.
Herbaland Athletes
Herbaland is proud to support athletes who train with purpose, fuel with intention, and inspire their communities through sport. Through our Herbaland Athlete Ambassador Program, we provide real support to runners, cyclists, triathletes, race walkers, and endurance athletes across Canada, from product packages and race day fuel to community sampling and social media features. We are excited to help more athletes fuel their goals with Herbaland.
Inclusive Employment Opportunities
Through our partnerships with Aspire Richmond and the Canucks Autism Network, we provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum. Two of our team members, Kyle and Leslie, joined us through Aspire Richmond. They shared that the supportive environment at Herbaland has made a real difference in both of their lives. Building an inclusive workplace is not a box to check. It is something we actively work at every day.
Herbaland Scholarship
The Herbaland Scholarship launched in 2021 to support students in Richmond pursuing higher education. In 2023, it evolved into the Sustainable Lifestyle Scholarship, created to recognize and reward students who practice sustainability in their everyday lives. Since then, we have received over 850 applications and awarded $12,000 across 9 recipients nationwide. Each year, three students across Canada share between $3,000 and $5,000 for their work in environmental and community-based initiatives. Applications for the 2026 scholarship are open now.
