We know that the injustice around us has been so upsetting and disheartening. We have been trying to think of a way we can do our part to show our support and love during this trying time. ⁠

We encourage all of you to do what you can to support the incredibly important BLM movement. This can be signing petitions, making a donation, or spreading awareness. 

Here are a few resources and different ways you can support the movement:

  • Malcolm X - This movie takes you through Malcolm X's life, career, incarceration, conversion controversies and eventual assassination.
  • The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson - She was one of the icons of the gay rights movement in the 1960s, the self-described "street queen" of NY's gay ghetto.
  • 13th - In this thought-provoking documentary, scholars, activists and politicians analyze the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S. prison boom.

  • Hands Up Act - This act would punish police for shooting unarmed citizens. 
  • #JusticeForBreBreonna Taylor, was in her home in Louisville, KY on March 13th when officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department barged in without a warning nor announcement and broke through her door, fired off more than 20 bullets, and ultimately took Breonna’s life.
